Summer: mango season

Ratnagiri and Devgad Alphonso arrive by late March and peak in April and May. Fruit stalls in Baner and Shivajinagar stock them daily — ask for the origin before you buy.

Monsoon and autumn

• July – August: jamun, pears and plums.
• September – October: custard apple (sitaphal) and guava.
• October – November: Nagpur oranges and pomegranates.

Winter
